WISCIENCE STEM Immersion welcomes and prepares first-year undergraduates and returning students for success at UW–Madison through cultivating a STEM-focused community and continual learning environment. 

 

STEM Immersion aims to facilitate the transition and persistence of STEM students by offering opportunities and experiences to discover, engage, and integrate into the intellectual, cultural, and social facets of the STEM community at UW-Madison.

WISCIENCE Welcome BioCommons at Steenbock Library, 1:00pm Meet your fellow STEM peers and learn more about the program.
BioCommons Resource Open House BioCommons at Steenbock Library, 1:15pm Stations available: WISCIENCE courses, UW Libraries, peer leader program, Pre-Professional Advising, GUTS, Morgridge Center, etc. 
Make-your-own Study Group session BioCommons at Steenbock Library, 2:00pm Collaborate with fellow first-years to connect about your schedules. Studying is more fun with friends!
Lecture Prep presentation Room 125, Agriculture Hall, 3:00pm Learn from an expert the tips and tricks to getting the most out of lecture, tools for note taking, and understanding ways to succeed in large classes.
Mock Lecture Room 125, Agriculture Hall, 3:30pm Practice your new skills with Dr. Richard Amasino from the Department of Biochemistry. This an opportunity to experience a 'real-life' lecture before the first day of class.
