STEM Immersion: Climate Solutions Workshop
STEM Immersion aims to facilitate the transition and persistence of STEM students by offering opportunities and experiences to discover, engage, and integrate into the intellectual, cultural, and social facets of the STEM community at UW-Madison.
STEM Immersion: Climate Solutions Workshop
In partnership with the Wisconsin Energy Institute, WISCIENCE will be hosting an interactive and engaging conversation on climate solutions using the cutting-edge computer modeling software, En-ROADS. This simulation allows participants to test climate change solutions such as energy supply, economic growth, land use, and other policies in order to deepen understanding of how these systems interact, and to spur climate action.
En-ROADS is developed by Climate Interactive, Ventana Systems, and MIT Sloan, and is used by people all over the world to frame conversations about climate change solutions. The Wisconsin Energy Institute facilitators have been trained as En-ROADs ambassadors by Climate Interactive and we are excited for them to host this workshop!
